The Port Townsend Leader is reporting:
Cruising into the Mexican port of Ensenada on Oct. 23, Daphne Kilburn of Kala Point photographed the venerable Steel Electric ferries that once served the Port Townsend-Keystone route. The four 1927-era boats were sold for scrap and towed to Mexico. Washington State Ferries is replacing the Steel Electric level of service to Port Townsend-Keystone with a special 64-car ferry scheduled to debut in summer 2010.
