CBC News is reporting:

“The boat started shuddering and immediately did a very large doughnut,” McCorquodale. said. “After about 10 minutes, the captain came on and then told us that the anchor had spontaneously dropped from the boat.”

    That’s great! A large doughnut, indeed! I’d hate to be the crewman who caused the anchor to “spontaneously” drop.

      Seventy2002, Good One! Use whatever advantage you can. We don’t cover this in the 100 ton class. There’s lots of room for OJT.

    Yeah we know those massive anchors are so prone to spontaneous release. Happens all the time at WSF. Ha ha ha.
