You’ll recall the derelict houseboat off Shipyard Cove. Yesterday she wondered 9.5 miles away and is now a hazard to navigation.
The CG brought a Buoy Tender up from Everett, but could not get close enough to the shore raise the boat.

Wow a 9.5M journey, not bad for no power and mostly underwater, those are some good currents! Its amazing that it didn’t get stuck on the shoreline or something else.
So did it just get towed someplace and left or did it get hauled out?
Chris
Chris, It’s still out there.
Its odd that one of the state agencies didn’t contract a removal with you guys when it was still up and easier to handle. The least that could have been done would have been to anchor it in a location that would have simplified recovery and kept it from becoming a nav hazard. Looks like the Army Corps Puget is going to have to come to the rescue. They can navigate in skinny water and their crane may even be able to get that beast on deck if they pull it up slowly and let it drain.
